Map Canvas Back to Welcome Page
The Map Canvas is the main interactive workspace on the Map Viewer that displays the geographic data. This initially contains basemap layers for Northern Ireland with the Counties layer displayed at full extent. Using the navigation tools, you can zoom in and out, or pan around the map. The other basemap layers become visible as you zoom in and out on the map and the scale changes.
Scale Bar
The scale bar is an element present on the Map Canvas that displays the current scale that you are at on the Map Canvas graphically.
